We need a pilgrim’s perspective on our lives.
As pilgrims we are to fix our hope fully on where we are going and as children we are to be expectant of the infinitely great inheritance we are to receive through Christ.
As pilgrims we are to remember how God saved us, how he caused us to be born again through the gospel, how Jesus died for our sins and was raised again so that we might live.
As pilgrims we go forward in life with great confidence that God will protect us through any trial with faith as our shield. He is sovereign over all, he will not fail us!
As pilgrims we are to have a new perspective on our suffering and our trials, knowing that God’s purpose for all of them in our life is to make our precious faith more genuine, to wean us off this world and ready us for the pleasures of seeing God face-to-face.
